Based on his book, Chakra Wisdom, Rick will help you rediscover the Chakra System with a level of clarity and depth like never before in this fun, fascinating, and fast-paced two-day intensive.

The chakras are the bridge uniting the spirit and physical to create life itself. They provide the undercurrents that drive every aspect of our lives. In this hands-on & experiential course, we will gain deep understanding of the Major, Mid-Range, and Minor Chakras, as well as the Three Centers of Consciousness - not just what they "do", but what they "are"!  We will examine how the Spirit, Energy System, and Physical all work together to create the experience of life, karma, emotion, forgiveness, and more.

Together, we will find the answers to important questions such as why is it so difficult to change habits? Why do we repeat the same patterns over and over again? How can we understand these drives and work in harmony (and in true partnership) with them for healing, for spiritual growth, personal accomplishment, greater joy, deeper contentment, and all the blessings of life?

Why I am Offering This Course...

As a celebration of Ke Ala Kahiko re-opening in our new home base in North Carolina, I wanted to bring back some of the fun and interesting courses (on a very limited basis) that would teach the skills and knowledge sets that had a significant impact on me and my development over the years. While this is not a "traditional Hawaiian lineage" course, it is completely congruent with those philosophies.

Writing the book, Chakra Wisdom, was an amazing journey of self-discovery. I had been teaching about the Chakra System for many years and students would ask when I was finally going to write the book on the Chakras. When my training in the Hawaiian spirituality and healing moved farther into advanced levels of training, the Chakra System took on a whole new depth of meaning and understanding... even though the Hawaiians don't recognize the chakra system!

As I began to write the book, it became clear that it was what I call a "teaching book". I would gain a flood of profound insight, but only after I could embody those insights into real life could I actually put the ideas to words. The treatment room was an incredible classroom. Seeing the way people face health and other life challenges, the way the energies worked to untie the knots that bound them into repeating patterns, and the awakening into profound healings brought my vision of the entire structure of life into a level of clarity I didn't know was possible. Nature was my best teacher. I would meet an obstacle in my understanding and the world would show me the answers in stunning ways.

Then, to share this knowledge with people from around the country and in Europe by speaking at conferences and by teaching workshops, it was so fulfilling to see people go through similar shifts in awakening of understanding. For this reason, I wanted bring this course back to offer it again. It was so impactful on my life and way of being in the world, and I have seen the influence it has had for literally thousands of others who have attended the programs over the years.

This course is open to the public, and it is intended for people interested in exploring the dimensions of meditation, energy work, yoga, healing, or self-growth/spiritual growth.  We will start with the foundations and quickly move into deeper and advanced topics over the course of the weekend.  Whether you have been a student of the chakra system for many years or are simply curious and just starting out, you will find this course is packed with very useful and practical information.

The course has four segments:  Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon, Sunday morning, and Sunday afternoon.  Each segment builds on the previous so missing one segment at the beginning or in the middle of the class will put you behind in understanding the skills we will be using as the course progresses.  If you are late or miss a portion, we won't be able to take the time from other participants to catch you up.

The course is presented online though a video conferencing service.  However, at this time, we do not have plans to record the event.

The course is limited to 10 in-person seats and 25 seats online to permit the best environment for learning this very personal journey. If all 35 seats have been taken, we will provide a "Interested/Waiting List" form to sign up to be notified. If a seat opens due to a last minute cancellation, the waiting list group will be contacted and the seat is available on a first come, first served basis.

No.  However, you will complete the course with practices and techniques that you can continue to use to grow your skills well into the future.

Unfortunately, the short answer is no, not for this class. The National Board has changed its policies about energy work courses and what it defines as topics it considers acceptable for massage continuing education. While we know how valuable the information presented is for those who are students of the healing arts, this topic is not an officially approved subject matter by the Board.
