Your Healing Journey

Healing is personal, and no two healing journeys are the same.  It is true that our bodies have an powerful and intrinsic wisdom to heal just about anything. If fact, Dr. Albert Schweitzer is quoted as having said, "All healing is self-healing."

Where things stop working is when the impacts of modern living, trauma, diet, overwhelming mental burdens, emotional toxicity, spiritual stress, and more all merge together and drain the necessary resources from the body.  When things get too low, the body simply doesn't have the resources it needs to do what is necessary to restore and maintain health.  That is when health begins to break down.

When you arrive for your session, whether for physical, emotional, or spiritual healing, you will find that every session is purely about you... as you are in that moment.   Pono will pose to you the question, "What can I do for you today?"  That is what we work with.

Natural Therapies
Our Healing Philosophy...

Quality of life is created through relationships:  your relationship to yourself, to the Divine (however you see that), to those people and creatures that you interact with, and to the land, the skies, and the world you move through every day.

For centuries, Hawaii's medical kahuna have drawn from the gifts of nature to provide care and healing for their communities.  Incorporating mana (the highest spiritual and creative power) and the four natural elements of Fire, Air, Water, and Earth, we work to restore the delicate harmony within the physical body, the etheric body (energy), and the astral body (spirit) and catalyze the innate healing capacities within those we work with.

Pono has 25+ years as a recognized master practitioner of the healing arts of the medical kahuna as they have been passed down through 27 generations of masters.  Breath, touch, healing, and diagnostics are the essential tools of the medical kahuna.

Together with Pono, you will discuss your concerns and goals for the session. Next, as you lay on a massage table, he will take time to listen to your body through his hands placed either in physical contact with, or slightly above, your body. He will work to gather the information from you and the messages from your body.  Then, he will use his decades of experience and lineage healing wisdom to provide a healing session in partnership with you.

Working with the elemental forces of fire, air, water, and earth, along with mana - the creative force, he will assist your body to be replenished, to move back into harmony, and spark the primal instinct to begin the true healing process.

Healing is a partnership.  You become different by staying the same, and healing won't "fix" you.  Most often, you receive homework to do in between sessions.  This will help solidify the shifts and changes that were initiated during your session and to embody the new ways of being.

Health is habit.  The truth is, humans are creatures of habit.  Everything we do and the way we do it is based in habit.  For health to change, habits must change.  Through a series of sessions with Pono and practice at home, the new states of wellness find their place in your life.

You don't need to navigate this alone.  Pono will be your partner, guide, and coach on your healing journey.  That may be restoring health, finding wellness and fulfillment in spite of physical limitations, or even taking health and vibrancy to an even higher level.  He will continue to work with you as far as you are willing to go.

Therapies We Offer

Our Signature Service is a 60 or 90-minute Hawaiian Style Elemental Lomilomi Massage.

Your body is a natural environment based upon the building blocks of elemental forces - Fire, Air, Water, and Earth.  This traditional healing art works with the elements and mana (creative force) to restore, nourish, and enliven the energetic, spiritual, and physical processes of the body.  Through hands-on healing, the practitioner will first assess and then assist the blending of the elements to enhance the innate wisdom of your body to restore health.

When most people think of relaxation and massage, they think of Swedish massage.  When you want to relax and let go of the tension held in your body to melt away, this is what you are looking for.  Offered as an hour or ninety-minute session.

When contending with pain or injury, integrative bodywork therapy is a custom blend of hands-on and energy healing therapies designed for your body's unique goals and needs.  Combining deep tissue, craniosacral therapy, reflexology, lymphatic drainage, and Hawaiian style Lomilomi massage, your session will help reduce or eliminate pain, improve posture, and enhance body integration and sense of wellbeing.

Craniosacral Therapy is a subtle, and highly effective modality that assists the internal rhythms of your body to return to its natural state.  Stress, tension, injury, and other trauma can disrupt the natural rhythms of your cranium and spine, and this is essential to the health and function of every part of your body.

La'au Kahea translates as "The Calling Medicine".  It is a spiritual healing ritual that is practiced only by master healers trained in the old ways.  This is spiritual, but not counter to any religion.

Traditional approach of Ho'oponopono helps to coach you through the process of finding true forgiveness and spiritual and emotional cleansing.  This one-on-one session runs generally around 2 hours and can be intense.  Family and small group sessions can run longer.  This is the traditional style as practiced in Molokai's Halawa Valley for more than 2000 years, and passed through 51 generations of practitioners and teachers.
