What is Lymphatic Drainage?
Lymphatic Drainage is a gentle (very light touch) and rhythmic style of massage that works directly to support the immune system. Coaxing the movement of lymphatic fluid through the system, this style of massage can provide a wonderful detox for the body and bolster the effectiveness of the immune system. It can support the health and beauty of the skin and overall body health.
Participants will learn techniques to encourage the flow of lymph fluid within the body. Using a gentle non-invasive technique developed by Dr. Vodder and Dr. Bruno Chikly, M.D. this 2-day course is designed to focus on the whole body.
~ Reduce Swelling... Enhance the Immune System... Detoxify the Body ~
In Day 1, we concentrate on understanding the anatomy and physiology of the lymphatic system. In addition, we will learn a self-care protocol and a full "spa therapy" protocol for an effective head and neck therapy for moving the lymphatic system.
In Day 2, we will expand the technique to address the full body with treatments for the arms, legs, and torso.
The complete full body process takes approximately one hour to perform and you will learn it in as an easy “step-by-step” process. The use of this technique can be a wonderful detox helping the body release the build up of waste products throughout the body, reduce swelling, bolster the performance of the immune system, and support the overall health & beauty of the skin.

Strongly Recommended: This is a hands-on course. If you are attending ONLINE, we highly recommend being registered with a friend so you have a partner to trade with. We believe that 50% of learning a therapy is to know what it is like to receive the work!
At the very least, please have a friend or family member available to you during class times as a "practice model" for you to practice your techniques with.
Satellite Classrooms: Want the advantages of group/in-person learning without traveling to North Carolina? We're trying something new!
We are experimenting with "satellite classrooms" in which you can host a group in your space to attend the online training together. Right now, there is a host in Naperville, Illinois with limited space, and I am open to groups in other locations.
If you are interested in joining the Naperville group or organizing a group in your own area, please feel free to reach out to me.
You can get hold of me by phone or e-mail.
This course is open to the public, and it is intended for people interested in exploring health and wellness. Massage Therapists, Physical Therapists, Nurses, and other medical professionals are especially encouraged to join. While the requirements vary from one state to the next, in most states, you must have a Massage Therapy or other health care license to practice Lymphatic Drainage professionally.
The course has four major segments: Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon, Sunday morning, and Sunday afternoon. Each segment builds on the previous so missing one segment at the beginning or in the middle of the class will put you behind in understanding the skills we will be using as the course progresses. If you miss a portion, we won't be able to take the time from other participants to catch you up during class. However, you will have the option of completing the remaining portion of the class with the replay videos. The videos of from each of the segments will be in your member's area through the end of March.
If you require CE Hour credit and you do not attend the entire live workshop, you must also pass a quiz with a grade of 70% or better. This is mandated per the NCBTMB rules, and the rules of most state licensing boards.
Yes. This class will be recorded and available. If you would like to attend the class, but your schedule doesn't allow you attend those days, you will be able to watch the replay. The replay recordings will be made available in your member's area account within a few days. The videos will continue to be available for viewing through March 31, 2023, and then they will be removed. Videos will be available only to registered participants of this workshop.
The course is limited to 24 seats (up to 8 in-person) to permit the best environment for learning this very personal journey. If all 24 seats have been taken, we will provide a "Interested/Waiting List" form to sign up to be notified. If a seat opens due to a last minute cancellation, the waiting list group will be contacted and the seat is available on a first come, first served basis.
For those who are not able to attend live, we will make the recordings available in your member's area through March 31, 2023 for you to watch or review.
No. However, as with any new method, you will be best served by working with "practice clients" to build proficiency and effectiveness before selling your services as a professional therapy.
No. We have discontinued operating as a continuing education provider at this time.
