Staying True to the Old Ways

This 3-Day Initial Level Training presents the foundations at the core of Hawaiian Energetics and is deeply rooted in the traditions of Hawaii's Medical Kahuna. It provides the groundwork for thought, exploration, and development of each person as their own kumu (source) of the elements.

It is the beginning path on the journey of building your personal relationship with the elements of fire, air, water and earth, and this relationship is essential to work with these energies in your own life and in the helping of others.

Hawaiian Energetics brings unique perception and treatment possibilities to health care professionals, clients, and students of personal growth and development.

You will learn about each of the elemental forces, how to generate and direct the elements, and how they are used in healing and life changes. Each participant will experience the tangible influences of the elements and how they are interwoven in the world. You will also learn the various elemental qualities of the body regions and how these relate to the world. In addition, beginning "hands-on" elemental healing will be taught.

This teaching empowers each person to step into the center of their soul and search for the source of their own Mana (creative force).

A Foundation in the Elements

The Elemental Energies of Fire, Water, Air, and Earth are the building blocks for all creation and for life itself. They are also the spiritual foundation for all of the sacred arts of Hawaii.

Whether the pursuit is healing, chant, hula, omen reading, carving, farming, fishing, or any of the other vocational, magical, or spiritual arts, the masters first cultivated a strong relationship with the elements as a basis for their training.

You as an Elemental Being
In this course, you will begin recognizing yourself as an elemental being to open a new vision and new possibilities for being in the world. It is also the beginning of seeing others, as well as the planet, as elemental beings. With this fundamental understanding, the process of healing, of spirituality, and of what are sometimes referred to as "shamanic" traditions unfold in front of you.

In most courses presented by other traditions, the objective is for the attendees to learn to duplicate the techniques demonstrated by the teacher, the goal of this tradition is to awaken within you a personal pathway to find your own sources of mana (creative force), to discover your own spiritual gifts, and to embrace your own way of being in the world.

Therefore, each time this training is offered, it is personalized to meet the unique individual needs and levels of skill for each person attending.

You will learn to work with the elemental energies to strengthen and heal your body, mind, and spirit and build a stronger relationship with the world around you. You will find your personal pathway to discover and know yourself as your own kumu (source).  

Duplication of the teacher is not the expectation. Creation of a new kahu enhances each of us and insures the nurturing of the world. This is our ultimate goal.

In This Training, You Will Learn...

  • The Hawaiian view of Spirituality and the Structure of the Universe.
  • The deeper meanings of Living in Aloha.
  • Traditional oli (chants) and pule (prayers) for creating deeper spiritual connections for yourself.
  • Build a personal and experiential relationship with the four elemental energies of Fire, Water, Air and Earth.
  • To meet and greet the 4 elemental energies.
  • To actively practice calling and directing the elements with increasing levels of purity.  This is the foundation for spiritual healing and other shamanic practices.
  • About "You" the Heiau (temple).
  • The concepts of Physical, Energetic, and Spiritual Health
  • To perform the traditional art of Elemental "Diagnostic" Assessment.
  • The beginnings of providing hands-on elemental healing sessions.

Through a blending of "talk story", the culture, experiential work, and hands-on practices, you will find a growing inner strength and peace as you learn to build a closer personal relationship with the earth and heavens. You can learn to work in harmony with the forces around you, instead of fighting against them.

The class size is limited to 20 total participants (in-person and online combined) to permit proper supervision and guidance during the hands-on practices and time for questions.

Frequently Asked Questions

This course is recommended for those with an interest in Hawaii, Hawaiian spirituality, energy healing, and spiritual growth.  Often, individuals feel called to Hawaii, or to find a deeper relationship with nature and the heavens.  With the healing and assessment skills, this training is also a great complimentary option for health care professionals, whether medical or natural approaches.  There are no pre-requisites and it is open to the general public.

The 3-Day Initial Training is designed for you and your personal journey.  During this course, you will learn to perform an elemental diagnostic process and a safe and effective treatment protocol that is a general elemental session for boosting the immune system.  You will be encouraged to practice this with people you know as part of your learning.  Learning to provide this as a professional service is a process.  When students are recognized as having acquired the knowledge and skills to be a practitioner of this tradition, then they may do so only upon invitation by the kumu or lineage elder.  This invitation typically comes following the Advanced Level training.

Life gets busy.  We get it.  However, if you know you can't attend a portion of a class (or need to leave early), please hold off for now and catch the course next time it is offered.  Because this is presented as a continuing education course, you must complete the entire workshop to receive a certificate.

That depends on the state you live in.  Every state has their own laws defining the services that require a professional licensure, including energy work, and those that are not regulated.  If the state does not require a license, it is possible that your local city or town will require a local license.  It will be your responsibility to know of your area.

Yes! Massage Therapists can earn 18 CE Hours toward license renewal by completing the entire 3-Day Initial Training.  We award the CEs through our parent company, A Higher Energy, LLC, which is an approved continuing education provider by the NCBTMB.  Most state massage boards accept certificates awarded by NCBTMB approved providers.

The course is limited to 20 in-person seats to permit the best environment for learning this very personal journey. If all 20 in-person seats have been taken, we will provide a "Interested/Waiting List" form to sign up to be notified. If a seat opens due to a cancellation, the waiting list group will be contacted and the seat is available on a first come, first served basis.

Important: If we have at least 3 people on the waiting list, we will attempt to book a larger venue close by.
